On January 21, 2010, The South Texas Energy Partnership, Workforce Solutions Cameron, Texas Department of Agriculture, University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College hosted the 4th Annual Energy Efficiency Green Conference and EXPO.

The focus of the conference was to educate local governments, private industries, consumers and the local workforce on energy conservation programs, emerging alternative energy industries and water conservation.

The event featured speakers, exhibitors, educational workshops and networking opportunities that enabled participants to explore the economic benefits of alternative energy industries on local communities and the need to develop conservation programs and workforce for new energy industries.
